Trackday Repatriation Insurance
By Properly Protected
Most overseas track organisers will require you to prove that you have appropriate travel insurance in place to cover emergency medical and repatriation expenses if you have an accident on track.
Some standard travel insurance policies can exclude dangerous sports like riding motorcycles, but ours has been developed in partnership with BeMoto Bike Insurance to cover riders when touring on motorcycles overseas or when riding short circuits, trackdays or dirt bike events.

This policy will also cover your riding gear up to the policy limits for damaged caused in an accident whilst participating in organised riding events and trackdays:
- Choose SILVER COVER which includes £50,000 medical and repatriation cover whilst on track; OR
- Upgrade to GOLD COVER with this limit extended to £250,000 when on track.
NOTE: Liability to others is excluded whilst riding on track (all participants do so at their own risk).
You can also choose to buy Annual Multi-Trip insurance if you participate in multiple events in a year, although it sometimes works out cheaper to buy Single Trip if you do 3 or less events / trips.
You can read the Travel and Repatriation Policy Document here.
The European Health Insurance Card (or EHIC) is issued FREE of charge and allows anyone who is covered by a statutory social security scheme of the EEA countries to receive medical treatment in another member state free or at a reduced cost, if that treatment becomes necessary during their visit. Please ensure you apply for a free EHIC card for trackdays in EEA countries here: www.nhs.uk
This insurance is intended to compliment the EHIC card by providing additional emergency medical costs for valid claims, but additionally provides repatriation cover (within the overall medical policy limit), where medically necessary and subject to the assistance companies approval.
IMPORTANT: This policy does NOT cover medical costs incurred at private hospitals. Always call the emergency assistance line at the earliest opportunity to notify the insurer and get support from their assistance company.
