Here at Properly Protected, we will advise on and arrange protection insurance for you, that is suited to your personal needs and situation, which could help financially support you, your loved ones, or your business, should you be unable to work due to illness or injury, or in the event of loss of life.
Together with our panel of 3rd Party Introducer firms, we aim to provide a high-quality and personalised service for individuals, families and business owners, who are looking for advice on protection insurance from us, or other financial service from our panel of Introducers.

Simon Farquhar
Director & Senior Advisor
Always smiling and with a can-do attitude, Simon is the driving force behind Properly Protected. Originating from Northern Ireland, he came to Norfolk when he joined the Royal Air Force. It was when he left the RAF, that he started his career in protection insurance. Simon is an ex-motorcycle racer, which inspired his determination to provide quality protection insurance advice for all sports enthusiasts, including motorsports. He enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, watching rugby, and sailing.
Annika Farquhar
Compliance & HR Director
As the title suggests, with her attention to detail and desire for the firm to be the very best it can be, Annika is responsible for compliance and overseeing of the day-to-day running of the firm. Annika’s first step into the world of protection insurance was as a representative of Combined Insurance Company of America. After leaving CICA, she went on to build a career as a Business Development Manager, helping businesses adapt and diversify into new markets. She loves spending time with her family, listening to (loud) music and sailing. She also trains in self-defence and helps teach the clubs juniors.
Martin Massingham
Finance Manager
With over 30 years in the finance industry, Martin brings to the team a wealth of knowledge. He worked for Barclays Bank for almost 20 years, and prior to working at Properly Protected, spent 10 years with Hoyl Independent Advisers. A dependable member of the team, and dedicated to what he does, Martin is a real cornerstone of our company. In his spare time, he is an avid biker and enjoys travelling, running and walking with his two German Shepherds.
